Great Chicago Actors Are Around

By Jerri Perry

Americans really adore Chicago actors who know how to entertain an audience. Many of these performers are very savvy and they do not take any grief from anyone. They are always able to maintain their humanity on many issues which exist within this world. Dennis Franz, Barbara Bain, Gillian Anderson, Robin Williams, Fred Savage and Sean Hayes are all great performers from this part of the world.

Sean Hayes is a great entertainer who was born in Illinois some decades ago. He really gained the respect from many fans when he starred in the hit American sitcom "Will And Grace." For years this young man refused to tell people his sexual orientation to anyone within the film and television industry. Everyone around knew that he was gay but Mr. Hayes said nothing.

He eventually talked to "The Advocate" and told his entire life story to them. Months before this coming out story happened Sean went on to star in a Broadway show. Unfortunately the critics wanted a straight man to portray the male lead instead of Sean. The show's leading lady wanted Sean to continue on in this event since she admired gay men.

Sean faced this hatred for quite sometime and this play was put to an end. The friendly male decided to admit his homosexuality to everyone after this event happened. No one really cared about his sexual preference which was a very good thing. Sean produced shows like "Hot In Cleveland" and "Hollywood Game Night" and he even starred in another television series.

Robin Williams is a very famous Illinois performer who has been around for many years. He first gained worldwide recognition with his portrayal of Mork in a show titled "Mork And Mindy." This series went on for several years and finally jumped the shark in 1982. After this was over he found major success in many movies.

Illinois is very proud that Dennis Franz is not afraid to show his naked behind on "NYPD Blue." He portrayed a very tough detective on this show for many years and the fans loved him. This is one man who really looks like a real life police officer. Many of the detectives on television today all look as if they stepped out of a fashion magazine.

"Saturday Night Live" employed both of the Belushi brothers. They hired John during the first season and his brother Jim years later. Jim loves his Illinois roots and has gained attention from people all across the globe. He is quite handsome and can easily star as a leading man.

Chicago actors really love Ms. Barbara Bain since she is such a beautiful and graceful woman. She has entertained Americans for decades and was the only lead female featured on "Mission Impossible" when it first aired. Barbara was surrounded by good looking masculine men and her husband Martin Landau was part of this group. Producers were very upset when she and Martin left the series since they could not find a qualified replacement for Barbara.
