Rent An Inflatable Obstacle Course For Your Next Event

By Rebecca Collins

There is a celebration or holiday gathering on your calendar that you need to prepare for. You are seeking activities for both adult and children. The usual fare of clowns, magicians, photo booths, and DJs has occurred to you but you are looking for something a little different, something that involves physical activity. Renting an inflatable obstacle course may be your best bet as it will provide so much entertainment and competition for all participants.

You can rent this structure for all types of events including reunions, picnics, birthday parties, employee parties, and fundraisers. You can raise money by charging for each run through the course. The funds raised can also help pay for prizes for race winners.

Before you get too excited, remember, you need to have a proper place and space in which to set this structure up. A large flat, grassy area is perfect. Get the dimensions of the structure so you will know exactly what is needed. You can also inquire as to the possibility of setting it up indoors. If it can be placed indoors, a careful watch to ensure that children do not fall off the side onto hard surfaces will be required. A large carpeted room, such a ballroom would be ideal.

The biggest advantage of renting this structure is the ability to turn it into a very competitive activity. Before your event, be sure to purchase or borrow some stopwatches so you can individually time the competitors who run through the maze. Designate "helper, " who can assist. To be even more precise, make vests with numbers on them so scores can be more easily kept in each heat. If it is an employee party, have different department race against each other. If several individuals compete, you may need to have several heats and then have the winners of these heat compete against each other.

You can come up with fun and unique prizes for all the winners. Arrange for medallions and/or small trophies to be presented a the end of the festivities. Encourage different work departments to compete. For the younger set, candy and toy prize are always fun and welcome additions.

Be sure to monitor any small children who may access this structure. Inform older, more rambunctious children and adults to be careful and watch out for the younger set as they make their way through the obstructions. If you have a large group, you may even wish to hire a few babysitters just to ensure that these little ones are kept safe. Or offer an alternative activity for the younger ones such as a moon bounce.

If everyone loves this activity, there are many more you can consider. These could include clowns, magicians, a dunking booth, carnival rides, a petting zoo, and maybe even a miniature train. There are many options to choose from to help provide ongoing entertainment to your event for both the young and the old.

Use a carnival theme to really set the stage for your event. INclude a variety of activities and games for attendees. Don't forget to include food booths, music, and challenges such as ring tosses, basketball free-throw competitions, and beanbag tosses. This is a really unique way to reward employees, celebrate a special occasion or raise money for a good cause.
