Painting Tips For Newbie Painters

Human are naturally subjected to emotions that may be overwhelming for each. During these times, people often hold on to things that makes them feel alive and where they can express what that feeling is. Often times, art is what people chose as outlets of whatever outburst there is inside. Painting as one example of art that is being used as outlet. So many things are possible when painting or drawing and whatever emotions are there from the artists are often translated into the masterpiece. True that being able to paint is a talent but it does not necessarily mean that those who are not born at it could not give it a shot. It may be hard at the beginning but all things that are done through effort and constant practice would eventually progress. There are classes that may be able to support the needs of assistance on painting but for those who wants self help, here are some tips that would walk everyone through painting from a beginner to pro.

Before jumping ahead to painting ideas, one must know that ensuring a pretty result means using quality medium and materials. There is no need to feel pressured on this because there is no such thing as perfect for beginners and perfect for professionals, just choose one that feels comfortable and one is all set. Trying different products till the perfect medium of preference are found may be possible.

To give the idea, some of the mediums that are great to use are watercolors, acrylic paint and oil paint. When using a watercolor, it is important to remember that these materials are extremely wet and are watery. That being said, papers or canvas that does not wrinkle should be what is used. Additionally, this medium comes with so many brands so there are wide choices for its quality and price.

Acrylic are fast drying, pretty much perfect for those who want it less messier. These paints are often water based, they can get stacked on the canvas but when there needs to have corrections, then wiping is possible. But for beginners, this may be hard to manipulate specially when it comes to blending. Oil paints are pretty much the most expensive out of the three but this have the richest color and superb quality. When the paint dries it usually is close enough to the actual hue when it is still wet.

And paints are nothing without brushes so it is as well important to invest on brushes with great bristle quality. Though, the fact that every medium uses different brush shall be bear in mind. For watercolor, opt into using some round brushes, for acrylic choose those with the synthetic bristle and for the oil paints, synthetic mix with fiber tip is best suited.

When the materials are all settled then time to look for some inspiration. Go out and explore if one must. That way an individual would have an idea what subject is perfect for them and looking at something is easy that imagining the things that one wants to draw.

No rules when painting, whatever shape and color is in mind, do so. Nothing is considered ugly, all are masterpieces because it is made up of pure effort and emotion. It would as well be great to start with abstract ones.

However, for color combination, a slight background knowledge about color wheel is helpful. One can easily mix up two or more colors to create the shade or hue one needs. Though, if not familiar with this one, it can be searched through the web for visual representation.
