How To Create A Dance Floor

By Joshua Morgan

Dance is an art form that consists with purposely selected sequences by the body movement. This movement has symbolic value and aesthetic. It is acknowledged by the dancers and the observers within their own culture. It has been categorized as choreography due to its repertoire of movements of by the place of origin. When it comes to Illuminated Dance Floors, individuals can build the structure by themselves if they know how to follow the process.

The structure would be better if it have a cushioned absorbent as a subfloor. Most floors are being constructed on top of concrete. This might be dangerous for dancers. To have safety and comfort, the floor itself must spring to avoid any injuries. The easiest one is to apply dense foam around the structure.

Select the type of plywood. Plywood comes in various styles and types of thickness and wood class. They wood type does not really matter that much in the process. A proper thickness is ideal especially in place where there are other people living along side with you. If noise is not an issue, then choose a thicker class.

Purchase a polyurethane sealant. Sealing the floors will help it keep in top condition. It will provide more resilience and make it last longer than normal. Apply the sealant first before assembling the whole structure. Sealants can be purchased on your local department store or through online sellers.

Choose a space that can seal the boards. The boards are huge and will require a good deal of space and area. The most convenient way is to lay them down flat on the tarp. It would be better to purchase horses as well. The board can be positioned on the top of the horses above the ground to catch any dripping from the sealant.

Follow the recommendations from the manufacturers of the sealant. Be sure to follow the directions closely because they will ensure to have a smooth and good seal. The guidelines will probably be to clean the board with various mineral spirits, sand it, apply the coating with a brush and allow it to dry for some time.

Apply at least three to four coats to the boards and sand the surfaces before each coating. Once the coating has already dried up, walk around it and look at all the angles. Pay attention to spots that are not shiny before applying the next coatings.

Ask your loved ones and friends for consultation. They may have constructed in their own homes a dance floor or have purchased one and installed by the company. They can share their experiences and knowledge on how to properly install one.

Budgeting will be the most important factor. Individuals should know the different prices that companies and manufacturers are selling in the market nowadays. Make sure that the floor is within your budget range. However, if you want the new and improved type, it will be more costly.
