Types Of Creative Writing Journals To Write In

By Eula Clarke

There are a number of different type books which individuals can use for keeping track of life events. Some relate to diet while others relate to dreams. Regardless, using creative writing journals to write in can be a good resource for documenting various aspects of life.

While there are a number of important aspects when documenting different life events, it is essential to use the right type book or diary for current needs. For example, while some may need a header with a month, day and year reference, others may not. In some cases, individuals may only want to use this type resource for sketching and taking notes which often need no such reference.

Depending on the individual, some may want to use dates for dreams, others may not. Although, regardless as to whether one logs a date, it is important to log as much information about the dream as possible. It can also be beneficial to note whether the dream happened in black and white or color, and if the events have either come to pass, or potentially could come to pass in the future.

For those with Diabetes Type I, or II, who need to log blood sugar counts on a regular basis, this type journal can often be a life saver. Having a reference to products consumed between readings can often help these individuals know when to add or cut back on sugar content based on past and present readings. These individuals can look back on foods, drinks and activities which have caused a rise or fall in blood sugar. After which, the individuals can discuss these changes with a health care provider to better help monitor any ongoing medication or treatment.

People who keep dream diaries often believe in dream interpretation. If this is the case, it is important to log as many visions seen as possible. It can also be good to note whether dreams occurred in color or black and white. Some research has shown that dreaming in color often indicates the dreams are prophetic. Whereas, the same research suggest black and white dreams are often based on fiction or history.

For those simply using a book with blank pages for ideas, or notes for school, generally a small book with blank pages works fine. Whereas, someone needing to take notes while researching family history may want to a much larger volume. Once completed, the journal can be modified into a beautiful scrapbook with photos and details featuring past and present generations.

When it comes to keeping journals online, like those using "Live Journal, " updating can often be delayed. Individuals using hard copy booklets, diaries and ledgers can often write down information in the moment. Though, for those who can update online journals on a regular basis, the information can often be more easily accessible when away from home. Some people find that writing in a booklet, then uploading the information into an online system provides the best of all scenarios.

The most important aspect of keeping any history regardless of subject is to be honest in the writing. Otherwise, keeping the information can often prove quite worthless when desiring to use as a resource. As such, in order to find useful information during troubling moments in the future, it is important that the information be as accurate as possible when entered into any of these type journals.
