During your daughter's wedding, you want to look elegant and fit in well. Keep in mind that you will need to also buy accessories and shoes that go well with your dress. So when you are looking around for a dress, also look around for complementary jewelry and footwear. Plan also to have makeup done on that day.

Determine how much you will spend on the dress. Be careful when choosing price because if the price is too high, the mum of the groom will not be able to keep up. Traditionally, the two mums can consult on what to wear, so as to ensure that they are well coordinated on the big day.

Keep in mind your comfort. Try to be as comfortable as possible during the event. The dress should not be too tight or too loose. It should fit just right. You should be able to sit, stand up and walk around without being uncomfortable or self conscious. On the day of the vent, you want to concentrate on having fun and not on how uncomfortable you are.
