The Secret Of Writing A Humorous Life Interest Blog

By Karen Campbell

Humor is a crucial part of our daily social interactions. Whether you are speaking to someone, or writing a story, you can create humor in several ways. Creating a humorous life interest blog requires creativity combined with humor. This is because the main objective of the blog is to make readers laugh and emancipate them on real life issues. Most writers think that creating funny stories is only about exaggerating present situations. However, the goal of creating these stories is to improve your writing skills.

Develop a clever pattern of words by coupling two similar word phrases with a different one. This technique is aimed at integrating jokes with written narratives. The technique is also used to develop catchy opening sentences in article writing. Choose words that most readers can relate to. As a nonfiction writer, you need to be updated with current affairs. Your creativity is based on how you satirize current issues in your writing.

Use metaphors in your work as a method of creating humor as well as emancipating readers on a certain subject matter. When using metaphors, your main objective should be developing your creative writing skills. Choose unique metaphoric words to convey different themes. The content should also be based on the type of audience you are addressing.

Comedy is largely based on exaggeration as well as misdirection. One of the effective ways of misdirecting readers is using common words and ending them with unpredicted clauses. Avoid limiting yourself to overused and old idioms. Readers are usually drawn by content that creates suspense. Review humorous articles written by other writers to assess their use of humor and metaphors.

Many comedies are centered on real life exaggerations. Furthermore, psychologists suggest that people relate to comedies focusing on present occurrences. Center your articles to modern day activities. However, avoid creating content that criticizes people with respect to race, religion and gender. Use censored language for you to target readers of diverse age groups.

Be strategic when structuring your funny stories. Do not scatter your jokes all over the article. However, integrate them in sidebars, titles, cartoons, anecdotes or visual illustrations. Use humor sparingly when writing. Unless you are writing a deep funny topic, you need to limit the use of humor. Your article should portray you as a nonfiction writer rather than a comedian.

Focus on the theme of your blog. The funny word phrases used in the articles should not demean your main writing objective. Send your article to a friend to read and give you honest opinion regarding its content. You can also use online grammar checking tools to check your sentence structure and use of parts of speech.

Writers have freedom to express their creativity through writing. They are however limited to using hurtful humor and sarcasm. As a nonfiction writer, seek feedback about your work from the readers. Try acknowledging them on how they motivate you to write more. At times, you may receive negative comments and reviews. These feedback can assist you in creating content that suits the demands if diverse readers.
