How To Turn Into A Saxophone Player Fabian

By Marci Nielsen

Being an instrument player is harder than you think. You have to go beyond your raw skills for you to play with precision. So, allow this article to provide you with added insight on the matter. Be aware that people choose to watch not just because you are good but you perform with the heart.

You have to learn how to calm yourself down. If this is your first show as a saxophone player Fabian, get better with mind control. Your audience is expecting a very confident individual out from you. Do not disappoint them by thinking that they are not present and you are just playing in an empty hall.

Close your eyes and get lost in the music. Perfection will never be achieved if you shall be too conscious with your hands. They know what to do for as long as you already know the pieces like the back of your hand. The audience will also appreciate it more if they can see your whole profile without any music stand getting in the way.

Listen to classical music and love it. Remember that your target is in the older generation. Also, have more appeal to richer clients by showing to them that you know your craft indeed. Talk with class and be among the few musicians who never run out of gigs. Support your needs in the best way you know how.

Expand your versatility by going into the lane of other instruments. Yes, the tracks will sound weird coming from a saxophone but it is your job to modify the notes a little bit for you to get the exact flavor and emotion. Do not be afraid to explore when there are no rules preventing you from doing so and when it can be fun.

Have the highest level of articulation. Most of your audience can be technical with what you will be playing. So, admit to them the parts when you have made a mistake and you can even gain their respect because of that. Be humble and people will have no reason not to continuously love your music through the years.

Play along with recordings. This would help you in listening and identifying your own tune. Once you master that, you shall have no trouble when the whole orchestra is already behind you. Also, do not be afraid to put the speakers on the loudest volume for you to really enhance your listening skills.

Combine pieces together if you can. However, this would still depend on the audience that you are playing for. If all of them are conservative, stick with the arrangement which have been given to you by your maestro. You would only be allowed to play around if this is already your solo concert.

Have passion for your music. People will only love you if you do not mind looking ugly for as long as you are able to display the true meaning of the piece. Be on stage not just because of the money and most especially not for instant fame.
